Kason Patterson, better known by her online alias Cupahnoodle or Cup, is an American Twitch streamer, host, and internet personality.

Content Creation[ | ]

Cupahnoodle started streaming in 2016 on Twitch.tv. She's a variety steamer, but predominantly plays horror and story based games. Cupahnoodle's streaming community is called Cupton. In July 2018, she became a Twitch Partner. She has amassed over 40 thousand followers and 1.15 million hours watched[1].

Hosting[ | ]

On June 6 2017, Twitch announced Twitch Studios Talent Development Program was holding their first hosting and interview workshop[2]. After submitting a demo reel and being accepted into the program, she later went on to produce her first segment at Twitchcon 2017 called, Gaming Done Differently. With Co-host Cira Corellia, this segment featured JrocTheGod and SuperLouis_64 showcasing their unique controller builds and play styles.

At Pax (East) in April 2018, Kason joined co-host Okaydrian, Meg Kaylee, and IamBrandon at the Versus Evil booth[3]. This same year October 2018, she co-hosted Twitchcon in San Jose, alongside DeejayKnight. This event marked the first black woman, to host a major Twitch event.

In September 2020, Cupahnoodle along with Okaydrian, Anna Prosser, Marcus "djWHEAT" Graham, Brit Weisman and special guest Austin Creed, lead the first hosting and interview workshop for Black creators[4].

November 2020, Twitch introduced their first Virtual conference called Glitchcon. Cupahnodle alongside Negaoryx, hosted a segment called The Weekly: Glitchcon Edition.

June 2021, Twitch announced a special E3 coverage event, called The /twitchgaming Gathering. The 4 day event was covered by Cupahnoodle and Bruce Greene.[5]

July 22 2021 via Twitter, Cupahnoodle announced that she'll be working with NBC Universal Network, covering the 2020 Summer Olympics along with Techniq, hosting a show called The Replay. The show is being broadcasted on Twitch.[6]

Interviews/ Appearances / Features[ | ]

February 2020 and March 2020, Cupahnoodle made a guest appearance on the Eleague show Superpunch.

She was also interviewed and highlighted by Tumblr as a part of their Gaming on Tumblr Stream Spotlight series in March 2020.[7]

Cupahnoodle participated in in the Black Girl Gamers Online Summit during a panel that was hosting on Twitch's front page on June 13, 2020.[8]

In September 3, 2020, Cupahnoodle was one of the presenters for Twitch's first ever Chat's Choice Awards where she presented for the categroy "Best Character of The Summer" [9] .

Additionally in September 2020, Cupahnoodle was featured in the first episode of Felicia Day's weekly Twitch panel called Women R, in which the topic was game streamers. She along with AnneMunitiion, Silverdale, and WowGrandma78 were interviewed as a part of the segment.[10]

In February 2021, Cupahnoodle was interviewed by WWD Magazine that centered around Black women gamers discussing topics such as beauty, opportunities, and challenges they experience as black content creators[11]

June 2021, Cupahnoodle participated in the Ultimate Crown Fire and Ice Edition, hosted by Brandon Broady. Where her and Tyler Oakley competed against Peng Peng Lee and Ginman.

December 20 2021, Cupahnoodle teamed up with Trisha Hershberger, JD Witherspoon and team captain Trevor May, to compete in the Bleacher Report Presents B/R Gaming’s Nintendo Switch Winter Challenge on TBS [12] . Two teams of four competed against each other across a variety of Nintendo games for bragging rights and contributions to their team’s chosen charity organization. Team Trevor won the event, donating $8000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

On February 10 2022, Cupahnoodle appeared as a special guest on the TV show G4 Xplay [13].

Cupahnoodle has participated in several fundraisers for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , including streaming during an annual Scareathon that raises money for the foundation. She additionally has raised funds for No Kids Hungry, Code 2040, and Obsidian 4 The Chids.

Accomplishments & Accolades[ | ]

Cupahnoodle became a Twitch Ambassador in 2019. Along with being an ambassador for the platform, she is also a member of Twitch's Safety Council[16]. August 2, 2022 Cupahnoodle signed to Evil Geniuses as a Creator Collective [17].
